One of Malaysia popular pop band was the Alley cats.Alley cats was the the only Malaysia band which brought many Malay hits around the 80s which was super hit among all the races in Malaysia .Their song like Hingga Akhir Nanti,Senandung Semalam and others mesmerized the listeners.They had a unique way of charming the audience by their Afro style hair and a good Malay language and most of all their god given voice.Alley cats is actually a non Malay only band in Malaysia comprising of
Members include:

Loganathan Arumugam (Loga); and David Arumugam on vocals
Tan Chin Hock on drums
Shunmugam Arumugam on lead guitar
Chester Anthony Passerella on saxophone
Khoo Fook Sin and Grenville on keyboards
Frank Ong on bass guitar.

Alley cats' music is said to be influenced by Air Supply, Phil Collins, Bee Gees, Billy Joel, David Gates & Bread, Santana and Paul McCartney.All Alley cats album were produced by Eric Yeo. Most of their hits songs were penned by music supremo M.Nasir with the lyrics most done by S.Amin Shahab. M.Nasir/S.Amin combination were most noticed with hit songs such as Hingga Akhir Nanti, Andai Aku Pergi Dulu, Sekuntum Mawar Merah Sebuah Puisi, Setahun Sudah Berlalu, Seribu Bintang, Nota Terakhir.
Alleycats was born in 1969 and gain popularity at the 70s.They have perform here locally and also overseas such as Hong Kong,Indonesia as well as Singapore.but their fans are also all over the world too.As Malaysia is multi racial country this group can perform also songs in Tamil and Chinese as well.And not forgetting their English hits.So as you can see this band is actually a band with many talented and when they sing they really forget the audience and they sing in their own world and that is the magic of David & Loga.Both David & Loga are actually brothers.

On June 4 2007 Alley cats lost one of their team member.(Loganathan). When i heard this news i could not believe that Loga has passed away until i have to double check
with various media.His demise was a lost not only to Alley cats but also to Malaysia music industry.During his final moments he was still listening to all the hits songs he played and sung beside his hospital bed and he passed away with it.GOD CREATED THIS MUSICIAN AND TOOK AWAY THIS MUSICIAN BECAUSE HE WAS A GREAT MUSICIAN.May your soul rest in peace My Dear Loga.
